So how do you choose the right carpet for a room?
Finding the right carpet for a room is often not that easy! Depending on the design, color and structure, the entire room ambience is influenced individually. Carpets are art for the floor and they have the ability to really highlight an entire room.
You should ask yourself the following questions to find the right size rug:
How big is the room?
How and where is the furniture placed?
What purpose does the room serve?
People tend to choose the carpet size by eye. This often means that carpets that are too small or too large are selected.
Carpets that are too small lose their effectiveness and are almost invisible in the room. Carpets that are too large make the room feel smaller and harmony is lost. The most important thing when choosing the size of the rug is that the proportions are right and what layout you want. Measure the room beforehand. Get an idea of what the room should ideally look like. Where should the furniture be? What is the coloring like?

Difference between Luxury and Linea
Lurxury:
- Only 1 to 1.5% of the total harvest is available for this quality every year
- small pores
- few to hardly any natural blemishes in the grain

- larger pores
- medium number of natural blemishes
- Visual difference rod design
Nevertheless, both lines have the highest quality standards that exist in the cork leather sector.

Yes absolutely! Our cork carpets are easy to maintain and have no problem with moisture. Even dust or other things cannot stick to the surface. If some toothpaste gets on the carpets, a damp cloth is enough to clean it.
Can the carpet also be used with underfloor heating?
Yes, that's no problem at all.
How should I handle the carpets, placemats and desk pads?
If you ever want to put away your carpet or underlay, please note the following. Always roll the carpets with the cork leather side facing out. The carpets should also not be folded to avoid damage to the underside. The same applies to the placemats or documents.
How do I clean and care for my cork product?
Easy to care!
Our cork products are very easy to care for and make your household easier!
Overall, our cork products are easy to clean: The cork surface naturally repels dirt and dust, so a vacuum cleaner is usually sufficient to keep your favorite cork piece clean. Should it still happen that something goes wrong, such as a glass of red wine or the little rascals' orange juice, it is sufficient to clean your cork product with a slightly damp cloth (preferably made of cotton) and our Corkando-Care . This means your favorite cork piece will shine in all its glory.
Of course, you have to mop or vacuum under the carpet every now and then. This is where the advantages of a cork carpet come into play: Due to their low weight, the cork carpets can be easily rolled up with the cork leather side outwards and placed briefly in the corner.
*Please give the cork rugs/desk pads a little time to feel comfortable in your home after receiving and unpacking them. Give him 24/48 hours to acclimatize. This means that the cork carpet can be optimally adapted to the room climate and laid out.

Is there a shortage of cork as a raw material?
No! The industry and companies that work with the raw material cork are heavily regulated and monitored by the responsible authorities. The misconception that there is a cork shortage was established a few years ago by the wine industry, as they replaced corks with metal or plastic closures through austerity measures and for cost reasons.
More about cork!
Cork is obtained from the bark of the cork oak (Quercus suber L). In Europe, cork oaks are found primarily in the Mediterranean regions such as Spain, Italy, France and especially in Portugal, where there are some of the largest cork oak forests.
The cork oak has many special properties that ultimately provide the consumer with a unique raw material. A single tree can produce 100 to 200 kilograms of cork during its life without having to be felled, because the cork oak is the only tree in the world whose bark can be harvested from the living trunk without it subsequently dying. The cork oak even benefits from regular harvesting: a cork oak harvested every nine to ten years becomes more resistant to fire, forms thicker layers of cork and can bind five times more CO2 in the bark than other trees.
In addition, the management of the cork oak forests is very sustainable overall, because the forests are not only a supplier of a particularly sustainable raw material, but they are also the habitat of some endangered animal and plant species. The sustainable management of the cork oak thus protects valuable habitats for flora and fauna.
